TBR List for July

Hi Guys!

I haven’t done a TBR list in ages and so I have a TBR list with five series and novels I want to read soon! I have read heaps of books this holiday and I’ll be doing a big book haul this week! I am currently reading I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson and I will be reading Another Day by David Leviathan and Amanda Hocking’s Kanin series, which I am super pumped to start. What are you currently reading and what is the next book you will read?

1) Catch A Falling Star by Kim Culbertson
I have a friend who absolutely loves this contemporary romance novel and her excitement has rubbed off on me. I really want to read this book and I’ll definitely start this super soon. This books kind of reminds me of Open Road Summer. It follows the story of Carter, who is the average town girl, and Jake, who is America’s number one boy celebrity. Carter has no interest whatsoever in Jake even though everyone around her is heads over heels for him, but one day she is offered the chance to become Jake’s fill-in girlfriend for some big dollars. Carter takes the chance but slowly something starts to happen to both of them.

2) The Grisha Series by Leigh Bardugo
I’ve heard lots about this book but to be frank with you, I have no idea what this series is about. 🙂 I do know that it is fantasy. After reading the blurb on Goodreads, I now know that it is based around a refugee who can save the world the Grisha series is set in. If you have read this series please tell me if it’s good!

3) Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
This is another novel which was recommended to me by another friend. It has been around quite a lot basically it is ,a Mulan like story, that revolves around princess Lia who escapes her arranged marriage to a new life in a new village. One day, in her new town two handsome strangers visit and she learns that trust and deception are a tight line to walk on.

4) An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
An Ember In The Ashes is a really buzzing new release novel, that you probably have heard of. It was such a hit that now they are making a movie of the novel. I still haven’t gotten around to this novel yet. It is a fantasy novel that is set in a world inspired by Ancient Rome. Laia’s brother is arrested and in order to save him she must risk her life to spy within the Empire’s military school. She meets Elias ,who is a prodigy, and together they realize they are fated to meet. The summary really sounds like Legend, which I really like, so, I am super excited to start this novel.

5) Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
Meira belongs to the Kingdom of Winter, where they horribly crumbled and conquered and now they are left with no magic or queen. Meira was orphaned by the conquering of the kingdom and now all she wants is revenge. She has always been in love with her best friend but now she is on a journey to finally get sweet revenge and it doesn’t exactly go to plan.

These are 5 books that are on my TBR list! Hopefully, I’ll get around to them soon!

  1. OMG! I TBR of tears. Prepare for a confusing emotional ride for The Grisha. I swear you will not regret the day you meet the Darkling. YOU WILL LOVE HIM. But you will regret the day you meet The Commandant and Marcus from The Ember in the Ashes (they are evil) but it will all be worth it thanks to Elias. I’m here when you need someone to fangirl too!!!! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
